About the Meet-Up

Session 1: Exploring concepts across the curriculum

4:00 – 5:00 pm Jakarta time | 60 minutes

Join Meilianny Jap and Kirsten Durward to rethink your approach to ‘related’ and ‘subject-specific’ concepts in the PYP. Discover where concepts lie in your curriculum and how these can be used to connect ideas across subjects. In this interactive workshop, you will apply your new learning by referencing your curriculum and selecting concepts you can use to deepen learning in your units. Make connections between what you actually teach with conceptual learning so you can move forward with a stronger understanding of how you are addressing the PYP key concepts.

In this session, you will explore:

  • What related concepts are
  • How to decide on related and subject-specific concepts for your units
  • How to refer to your curriculum to select related and subject-specific concepts?

Special Note:
This session will be conducted as an interactive Zoom meeting and will be delivered in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
