About the talk
Join MYP and DP leader and educator, Varsha Agarwal Rodewald, to explore the importance of assessment criteria and objectives and how they should be seamlessly embedded in the teaching and learning process in language acquisition classrooms. Discuss how designing a relevant and engaging performance task allows for creative and critical thinking to come into play alongside the more traditional learning outcomes of vocabulary acquisition and learning grammar. Additionally, also explain the why behind this more progressive, communication-based approach to various stakeholders at your schools.
In this talk, Varsha will also share her journey as an MYP educator and share what she has discovered, to expedite the journey of teachers, especially new to the MYP Language Acquisition framework, in feeling more familiar with it.
Make sure you have a pen and paper handy as you join along.
