About the Talk
In this session, Sandy and Poornima explore the changes that the education sector has been experiencing – from the most recent disruptions due to COVID-19 to the recurring need to rethink traditional school systems and its impact on the evolving role of educators. They discuss the need to embrace technology and blended learning more actively and effectively to ensure that education remains relevant and significant.
The focus of the talk is to rethink our role as educators, from knowledge disseminators to facilitators guiding young people to develop the human skills needed to flourish in the future. These core teacher skills include resilience, adaptability, continuous learning, social and emotional intelligence, critical thinking along with a mindset for sustainability and social responsibility.
