The MYP projects are an opportunity for students to engage in self-directed learning, exploring areas of interest through a cycle of inquiry, action and reflection. Through these explorations, students also demonstrate and strengthen their ATL skills. At this Toddle Talk, you’d get to understand your role as a project supervisor better.   • Understand how ATL statements can apply in the personal project

Patrick Ong
Patrick Ong is an independent consultant who works with schools seeking to develop international programmes of study. He is also teaching courses at the University. Over the past decade, he has taught and supervised MYP and DP courses and projects/extended essays. He has also served in an advisory role to a Head of School for IB matters, and led IB schools as Academic Dean, Head of Secondary and Dean of Schools. Patrick has been part of the IB Educator Network since 2012, presently functioning as an MYP, DP and continuum workshop leader. In the past, he served as the IB’s Recognition ambassador to the Philippines and worked as an MYP assistant examiner for Personal Project, Design and Interdisciplinary. Patrick holds a bachelor’s degree in Management with a concentration in Communication Technology Management from the Ateneo de Manila University. He is presently pursuing further studies at the University of the Philippines Open University.
