About the session

The new assessment component of the TOK course, the TOK exhibition, is inspired by the British Museum’s ‘A History of the World in 100 Objects.’ With the first assessment this year, the exhibition focuses on how TOK manifests itself in the world, with students showcasing three objects connected to any one of the course themes.

At this student panel, hear how students around the world have approached the selection of their objects and knowledge question prompts, and planned their commentaries. We have students from Amman Academy, American School of Bilbao, and The Cathedral and John Connon School.

Sara Al Shami is an IB educator with over 20 years of experience. She took on various roles in her career journey. She worked in Qatar, the UAE, and Jordan as an IB DP and MYP educator, an MYP Coordinator, a Stage Principal, and Head of Training. She has delivered various workshops locally pertaining to curriculum development and the DP core, particularly for TOK.
