About the session

The group 4 project is an opportunity for students to collaboratively examine the influence of scientific disciplines on the world around them. Designed as an interdisciplinary exploration between group 4 science courses in the DP, the project allows students to appreciate scientific processes and the environmental, social, and ethical implications of science and technology. Nada Chatila

Nada is a passionate educator with more than 28 years of experience in teaching Physics in different programs, including the Lebanese National program, the American High School program, and the IB Diploma Programme. She has held a leadership position as an IB Diploma Coordinator since 2008. She has a Master's Degree in Science Education from the Lebanese American University of Beirut and a certificate in International School Leadership from the Principal Training Center (PTC). She has also trained educators in other curricula and programs, such as the new Qatari Physics curriculum.

Dania Maaliki

Dania teaches IB DP Chemistry at the ACS International School, Egham in the UK. As an educator, Dania has held several positions of responsibility, namely the Science Head at the American Community School, Beirut. She has dual nationality, Italian and Lebanese, and fluency in four languages. Dania is an energetic and warm educator who has a passion for enriching the lives of young people.

Marwa Bkerat

"Marwa has over 20 years of experience in the field of education. She is currently a Senior Teacher Educator at Queen Rania Teacher Academy (QRTA). Previously, Marwa worked as an IB DP Coordinator and DP Biology subject leader at the Jeddah Knowledge International School, where she established the IB DP department and supported the IB DP authorization processes. She authored the book 'Biology for IB Diploma Programme Course Preparation' published by Oxford. At present, she serves as the Program Manager for the USAID Pre-service Teacher Education Project in Jordan (PRESTIJ). She is also a Middle East Professional Learning Initiative (MEPLI) fellow, convener, and online workshop facilitator at Harvard Graduate School of Education.Marwa holds a Master's degree in the Arts of Education from the University of Sunderland, UK. She has completed the online program 'Certificate in Advanced Education Leadership (CAEL)' by the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is also the founder and CEO of iMystro, an online learning platform that supports independent learning in different courses."
