About the session

A key struggle for DP Language B teachers is to determine how Language B can be integrated into daily practice. According to experienced educator and language specialist Mariana Curti, the Language B course’s role in the IB “goes beyond acquiring structures and systems. It means developing a new persona, and a new way of seeing and understanding the world around us, others, and ourselves.” How should educators assess all that, however? Join Mariana in this workshop to understand the role of assessments in Language B, and explore ways to integrate formal IB assessments into rich learning experiences in the Language B classroom.
