Distance learning has rattled the world of education and posed many new challenges for educators. In these conditions, it’s imperative to build a network within the teaching community, and explore ways to step up the teaching-learning process. In this talk by Dr. Leena Bakshi, learn how to create truly impactful lessons that integrate phenomena, STEM and social justice to ignite student engagement. Dr. Leena Bakshi
Dr. Leena Bakshi is the founder of STEM4Real, a nonprofit professional learning organization committed to combining STEM content learning and leadership with principles of equity and social justice. In addition to quality professional learning, the company showcases real-life STEM stars that are breaking barriers and pioneering key breakthroughs in the STEM fields through children’s literature. She also serves as the Board Secretary for the California Association of Science Educators and teaches pre-service teachers at UC Berkeley.
