About the talk

When inspiring young hearts and minds, educators often forget themselves. When we take care of ourselves, we are much better equipped to give our best to others. In this wellness session, mindfulness practitioner and educator, Lucy Keller will offer you the time to pause, check in with yourselves, take care and set positive intentions through mindfulness based practices.

You will be invited to explore mindfulness with kindness, curiosity and to give yourself the gift of time. Although this is a practice based session, some tips and ideas will be shared for bringing more mindfulness into your everyday life.

This session is suitable for beginners as well as those who already have mindfulness practice. It offers the space to bring more presence, clarity and compassion to your internal world. Make sure to have a comfy chair, cushion and space to lie down. Also keep a pen and a piece of paper handy as you tune in.

Key objectives

  • Find the right mindfulness practices to re-centre yourself
  • Engage with movement and breathing exercises to unwind
  • Build self awareness of how your body responds to mindful practices and anchor yourself to the present
