About the session

The art process portfolios are a space that naturally scaffolds and informs students to develop their artwork through critical exploration of skills, techniques, and processes over the course of two years. Shally Mahajan
Shally comes with fifteen years of teaching experience in IB DP Visual Arts and currently teaches in India at Pathways World School, Aravali. With her extensive experience and the multiple roles that she has handled over her career, she is an expert on all things in comparative study in visual arts since 2016. She has also attended the IB DP Visual Arts Grade Award Meetings for many years.
Tathagata Chowdhury
Tathagata currently teaches IBDP Film at Pathways World School in India. He is the founder of the theatre company, Theatrecian, which was recognised by BBC 4 as the most prolific youth theatre company. He represented India at the Theatre Science Project in the United Kingdom in 2006 and the South Asian Theatre Festival in Ohio in 2014. Tathagata is certified by the Royal Shakespeare Company. He was the first to be appointed as a faculty with Mahadevi Birla World Academy when Theatre was introduced as an official subject by the Central Board of Secondary Education in India.
Antony John Nesling
Antony has been teaching IB DP Theatre for over ten years, mostly in Amman and Bangkok. He currently lives in Copenhagen, where he also works as an IB DP Coordinator at the International School of Hellerup. Antony was chosen to be a member of the curriculum review committee for the latest iteration of the IB DP Theatre course, first teaching in 2022. Accordingly, he has a thorough understanding of the existing and upcoming IB DP Theatre curriculum. Antony's pedagogy manifests a passionate belief in experimental theatre within a rigorous academic framework. Students are exposed to myriad practitioners, theorists, and thinkers – from within and without the theatrical arena – and are challenged to develop their work through integrating others' ideas. As a TOK teacher, CAS, and EE supervisor, Antony is also able to help students facilitate meaningful cross-curricular connections from IB DP Theatre to within the DP Core.Outside of the DP Theatre classroom, Antony is a lifelong learner. He is currently completing a Ph.D. in Education at University College London, where he is researching a new form of drama education involving a confluence of traditional theatre and live-action videogames, which he calls 'GamePlay'.
