About the Talk
In this keynote, Jo suggests there are 2 forms of mathematics – one that makes people feel inadequate and uninspired and another that causes people to believe in their limitless potential and their ability to be creative with mathematical ideas. You will investigate how different math tasks cause learners to view mathematics and themselves differently. Through this session, think about ways to use math to liberate students. Jo will share important and new resources from the youcubed.org team to support you – whether you are teaching in-person or online.
